New Chapter for The Demosthenous Law Firm in Temple Terrace Historical House

Historic Home for Temple Terrace Law Firm

The Demosthenous Law Firm, known for its expertise in criminal law, estate planning, elder law, and probate, has embarked on an exciting new journey. The firm has recently relocated to a historic house in Temple Terrace, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to serving the community. This move is not just a change of address for the firm but a deepening of its roots in an area rich in history and community spirit.

This historic home, now the new abode of the Demosthenous Law Firm, holds a special place in the heart of Temple Terrace. Constructed around 1923, it was one of the eight original home estates established by Temple Terraces, Inc., which laid the foundation for what is today known as the City of Temple Terrace. The house was initially the residence of Charles Dickson, his wife Elsie, and their son, John. In the era of its construction, Charles Dickson played a pivotal role in the development of the city, serving as the secretary and treasurer.

Nestled at the entrance of Temple Terrace, this home was once a beacon for those entering the city. Flanked by the city gates, which still stand today as a testament to the area's rich heritage, the house overlooks what was once the Temple Terrace Highway, a charming brick road, with Ridgedale Drive being a mere dirt pathway meandering through the lush orange groves.

The architectural brilliance of the house can be attributed to M. Leo Elliott, a renowned architect responsible for designing several prominent structures in the area, including the Centro Asturiano de Tampa in Ybor City, the original Tampa City Hall, and the clubhouse of the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club, now part of Florida College. Elliott's designs are celebrated for their elegance and historical significance, and this home is no exception.

When David Bulluck took the initiative to purchase this home in May of 2011, it was a shadow of its former self, having fallen into severe disrepair. Recognizing the potential of this historic gem, Mr. Bulluck dedicated himself to restoring the house to its original grandeur. His efforts have not only revived the building but have also rejuvenated a piece of the community's history.

Today, as the Demosthenous Law Firm settles into this storied residence, it is more than just a relocation; it's a homage to the legacy of Temple Terrace. The firm is thrilled to be part of this amazing community, deeply woven into the fabric of the city's history. The house, with its rich past and elegant architecture, stands as a symbol of the firm's dedication to preserving the legacy while forging a path forward in service to their clients and the community.

The Demosthenous Law Firm looks forward to welcoming its clients to this historic house, offering a unique blend of professional legal services amidst a setting steeped in history. This move signifies a blending of the past and the present, where the firm's values of integrity, excellence, and service are echoed in the walls of their new home. For the team at Demosthenous, it's more than just practicing law; it's about being a part of a community's story and contributing to its future.
