About Charley Demosthenous

Charley Demosthenous was born in Chicago, IL and moved to the Tampa area when he was a child. He received a dual bachelor's of science degree from the University of Miami in both biology and screenwriting prior to graduating from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2002. He then spent nearly a year as an appeals referee for Unemployment Compensation Appeals in the state of Florida. Afterwards, he began working as a trial attorney with the Office of the Public Defender in Tampa for several years. After working for a short time at a silk stocking firm in downtown Tampa, Charley realized he wanted to assist individuals on his own terms and founded The Demosthenous Law Firm in 2008. While his background as a litigator will always be integral in how he evaluates cases, Mr. Demosthenous realizes that each client, like each case, is unique and he therefore addresses them on an individual basis.

Charley is an experienced litigator and handles cases in all areas of elder law, including guardianships, wills, estate planning, probate, trust administration, special needs planning, and real estate matters. He also continues to handle criminal cases of all types. He has dedicated his career to assisting others in a compassionate and honest manner. Mr. Demosthenous feels that it is imperative that attorneys remember that practicing law is a privilege. He believes it creates a responsibility to treat everyone with respect, to empathize with clients, and create solutions that improve safety, independence, and security in those who have put their trust in him.

Charley is licensed to practice in all state courts of Florida as well as Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida. In his free time he enjoys being with his family and appreciating everything nature has to offer.
